Clara-Ann Gordon moves from NKF to Bär & Karrer. She joined the Swiss firm’s partnership on 1 September 2026 and co-heads its Tech, Data and Cyber Group together with Christian Kunz, supported by partners Markus Wang and Michele Bernasconi.

Gordon brings more than 20 years of practice at the intersection of technology, data and regulation, including work in the defence sector. Her mandates cover IT and technology transactions, joint ventures, outsourcing, IoT and complex IT systems projects. On the advisory side she handles data protection matters, among them the implementation of data protection compliance programmes, international data transfer projects, internal data security projects and the regulatory questions attached to them.

Bär & Karrer states that clients dealing with technology transactions, data protection, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance will have access to broader capabilities as a result, and points to Gordon’s record in digital transformation and IT projects alongside cross-border transactional work. Senior Partner Susanne Schreiber cited her combination of legal expertise, commercial understanding and industry knowledge as the reason for the hire.
According to the firm, Gordon is recognised by international legal directories in the technology, data privacy and data protection categories, and has received awards for her work in those areas. Bär & Karrer announced the appointment on 1 September 2026 under its corporate news; the firm operates from Zurich, Geneva, Lugano, Zug, Basel and St Moritz.
