Willkie Advises 3i on MAIT Deal with DBAG

Willkie advised 3i Group plc on the sale of MAIT. MAIT is a top IT services provider for mid-market clients in the DACH region. The buyer is a private equity fund advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG).

On September 2, 3i announced the sale to DBAG Fund VIII. Willkie also advised 3i on its original investment in MAIT in 2021.

MAIT is based in Rottweil, Germany. It offers digital solutions in PLM, ERP, and IT services. It serves over 7,000 mid-sized customers. Most are in the manufacturing sector.

3i is a global investment manager. It focuses on mid-market private equity and infrastructure. Its key markets are northern Europe and North America.
