Irell Team Wins Daily Journal CLAY for $2.3B VLSI Victory

Morgan Chu, Ben Hattenbach, Alan Heinrich, and Amy Proctor won a Daily Journal 2023 California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year (CLAY) Award for winning VLSI Technology a $2.3 billion patent litigation against Intel. CLAY awards honour significant legal and social events from the preceding year. VLSI won one of 15 cases in difficult civil litigation, criminal law, and civil rights. The Daily Journal also included VLSI’s $948 million verdict in a patent battle against Intel in its award write-up.
