BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT admits two new partners to the firm, Dr. Mario Araujo and Dr. Jin Jeon

At the beginning of this year, the legal firm of BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT welcomed two new partners, bringing the total number of partners to four. In the near future, the patent attorneys Dr. Mario Araujo and Dr. Jin Jeon will share responsibility for the areas of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and physics, in addition to software/IT and the internet.

Dr. Mario Araujo represents clients before the European Patent Office, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office in matters pertaining to the drafting and prosecution of intellectual property rights. Physics, optics, semiconductor technology, electrical engineering, information technology, and medical technology are his primary areas of technical interest. In addition, Dr. Mario Araujo is an expert in international patent litigation. In this capacity, he provides counsel to clients involved in nullity and patent infringement actions and represents such clients before the courts and authorities of Germany, Spain, and Europe.

Dr. Jin Jeon provides clients with advice about the writing and inspection of intellectual property applications, as well as the enforcement of those applications in Germany and Europe. His knowledge extends to every discipline of physics, including plasma physics, optics, microfluidics, satellite communications, and mechanics, to name just a few. In addition to that, he is an expert in the fields of mechanical engineering, materials science, information and communication technology, manufacturing technology, and electrical engineering. Dr. Jin Jeon is considered an authority on interdisciplinary technologies as a result of his many years of experience doing interdisciplinary research with experts from the fields of medicine, microbiology, and chemistry.

Dr. Jin Jeon is an expert in technical physics, having received his education at the Technical University of Munich, where he focused on energy sciences and plasma physics. In conjunction with the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, he completed his doctoral studies in the subject of plasma medicine at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Garching. Since 2015, Dr. Jin Jeon has been serving BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT as a patent attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. In addition to that, he is a natural speaker of German and Korean and holds a license to practice as a patent attorney in Europe.
