Di Tanno Associati appoints Fabio Riva as partner. The Italian tax law firm announced on 5 October 2026 that Riva has joined its Milan office, strengthening its national and international tax practice for Italian and multinational groups.

Riva is a chartered accountant (dottore commercialista) and statutory auditor with more than fifteen years of experience in national and international tax advice, with a focus on VAT and indirect taxation. He joins from Deloitte, where he had served since 2021 as Director in the VAT and Indirect Taxes area, following positions at EY and at Studio Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati.

During his career he has advised multinational groups in sectors including consumer goods, fashion, oil and gas, telecommunications, defence, financial services, real estate and logistics. His work covers tax opinions, memoranda and ruling requests, pre-litigation and tax litigation support, supply chain structuring, indirect tax aspects of M&A transactions and ERP transformation projects, as well as tax compliance, e-invoicing and digital reporting, and tax risk management.
Riva holds a degree in economics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and completed a postgraduate course in tax law at the Università degli Studi di Milano. He is a member of the Indirect Taxes Commission of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Milan.
