Balder IP was recognised in the IAM Patent 1000 2026, the annual guide to the world’s leading patent practitioners and firms published by IAM. The firm was ranked in the Gold band for patent prosecution and in the Bronze band for patent litigation, placing it in two separate categories of the guide’s assessment of the Spanish patent market. IAM’s rankings are based on independent market research, including interviews with clients and peers, and distinguish between prosecution, transactional and contentious work.

The Gold-band listing for prosecution reflects the firm’s standing in the drafting and filing of patent applications and related work before national and European authorities, while the Bronze-band placement for litigation situates it among the firms active in contentious patent proceedings in Spain. The two-tier recognition indicates that IAM’s researchers assessed the firm across both the prosecution and litigation segments of the market.
Chambers and Co. since 2004.
Three of the firm’s practitioners were individually recognised in the 2026 edition. Lars Magnus Stiebe was listed as a Gold recommended individual for patent prosecution, the highest individual tier in that category. Olof Fickert Lieckfeld and Patricia Koch were each named recommended individuals in the guide. The individual listings are produced through the same research process used for the firm rankings and identify practitioners cited by clients and peers for their work in the field.
