The healthcare law boutique medlegal is represented in three rankings of the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms 2026/2027, the firm announced on 31 October 2026, one year after it was named “Law Firm of the Year for Healthcare”. In the law firm ranking for healthcare, medlegal is rated with three stars.
According to the firm, the handbook names as core disciplines advice to service providers in the outpatient and inpatient sectors on transactions (M&A) and contracts, hospital law, medical liability law and medical law, as well as care and social law, including integration assistance, and digital health. JUVE notes that the firm, which had already grown strongly in the previous year, has again taken on partners and associates. The firm quotes JUVE as saying that the medical law boutique impresses with its combination of medical and corporate law know-how and its expertise in medical professional law.

Two medlegal partners, Johannes Kalläne and Prof Dr Jens Prütting, are listed among the 22 “Leading Names” in the healthcare sector nationwide, and Dr Kilian Friedrich is one of eleven lawyers listed as “Rising Stars” in healthcare. In the “frequently recommended” category, the handbook lists five medlegal partners: Johannes Kalläne, Prof Dr Jens Prütting and Dr Kilian Friedrich, as well as Dr Johannes Arndt in care law and Prof Dr Martin Rehborn in hospital law.
