Esche Schümann Commichau (ESCHE) has been named “Law Firm of the Year for the Mittelstand” at the JUVE Awards 2026, the firm announced on 30 October 2026. The award ceremony took place on 29 October in Frankfurt am Main. In addition to the Mittelstand category, ESCHE had also been nominated for “Law Firm of the Year for Employment Law”.
According to the firm, the JUVE editorial team in its laudation particularly recognised the firm’s dynamic development: internal promotions had brought young lawyers into positions of responsibility, and the further development of its advisory fields, in particular compliance investigations, restructurings and transactions, as well as its AI offensive, were also acknowledged. JUVE said that ESCHE shows that tradition and modernity need not be a contradiction, the firm reported.

In a further announcement on 3 November 2026, ESCHE reported that it has once again received the top rating of five stars for the northern region in the current JUVE rankings and has been named “Law Firm of the Year in the North” in the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms 2026/2027. Its tax practice also received five stars for the northern region in the JUVE tax market ranking. JUVE particularly highlights the firm’s corporate advice, its transaction practice and the close cooperation between legal and tax advice, according to the firm.
