Mondini Bonora Ginevra: AGCOM Updates Influencer Rules

Mondini Bonora Ginevra Attorney Francesca Milani has written a great article on New AGCOM Guidelines on Influencers for Summer 2025.

On 23 July 2025, AGCOM approved a new Code of Conduct and updated Guidelines for influencers to ensure compliance with audiovisual media laws. Key changes include a broader definition of “influencer” (now including virtual personas) and the introduction of “relevant influencers”—those with 500K+ followers or 1M+ monthly views.

While obligations remain unchanged—covering dignity, minors, advertising transparency, truthfulness, and copyright—the scope now applies to a wider range of content creators. Sanctions for violations are still based on Article 67 of the media law.
