trail was founded in 2023 by Anna Spitznagel, Nikolaus Pinger and Sven Hölzel. Its technology analyses the context of an AI system, determines relevant requirements and controls, assesses their implementation and effectiveness, identifies gaps and automates governance workflows. Its runtime functions allow Collibra policies to be enforced where AI agents are deployed, so that actions violating those policies can be blocked before they are executed.
