Osborne Clarke has elevated four attorneys to partner status effective January 1, 2026, expanding its German partnership to 78 professionals across offices in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich.




Christoph Kauffmann, based in Cologne, was promoted to partner after joining the firm in 2015 and serving as counsel since 2020. His practice encompasses civil law and arbitration matters, primarily serving technology and IT companies. Ann-Kristin Lochmann, who joined in 2023 as counsel in the tax practice, brings expertise in international tax law with a focus on transaction-related taxation, add-on and exit transactions, and startup structuring.
Elisabeth Macher advances to partner from her previous counsel position, specializing in competition law and data protection. Her practice emphasizes data access enforcement procedures and issues related to mobility infrastructure, including autonomous vehicle regulations. Alexander Schlicht, who has been with the employment team since 2016, was promoted to partner. He advises companies on labor law matters, with particular emphasis on restructuring and co-determination issues in the technology and gaming sectors.
The promotions reflect the firm’s continued expansion in Germany, reinforcing its presence in commercial law, tax, competition, and employment matters across its major German markets.
