Yoichiro Ito joins Mori Hamada & Matsumoto

As of September 5, 2022, Yoichiro Ito began working with Japanese law firm Mori Hamada & Matsumoto as an executive advisor. Mr. Ito worked as the Managing Director of the Investment Banking Division at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, Co., Ltd. before joining the company.

Mr. Ito began his legal career in 1997 and joined Morgan Stanley (Tokyo Branch) (now Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd.) in 2001. He worked there until his retirement in April of this year in a variety of capacities within the Investment Banking Division, including as a financial advisor on domestic and international M&A and capital markets transactions.

As Managing Director of the Investment Banking Division and Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group since 2010, Mr. Ito has also participated in the management of the Investment Banking Division and Financial Institutions Group.

Mori Hamada & Matsumoto will use Mr. Ito’s significant connections and knowledge in Japan and internationally to further enhance the company’s operations and legal services.
