Nicholas Caselli joins Cooley as partner in New York. The firm announced on 1 October 2026 that Caselli has joined its securities litigation + enforcement practice and global litigation department. He defends securities class actions as well as shareholder derivative and M&A-related claims, including on behalf of technology and life sciences clients.

“Nick has strategically built his practice at the intersection of securities litigation, shareholder disputes and M&A, making him a natural fit for the needs of our growing client base,” said Patrick Gibbs, leader of Cooley’s securities litigation + enforcement practice. Ian Shapiro, chair of the global litigation department and partner in charge of the New York office, said Caselli “has already been at the center of two of New York’s leading securities litigation practices in his still young career”.

According to the firm, Cooley’s global litigation department includes more than 500 lawyers in the US and Europe, and the firm has added more than two dozen litigators across the US since 2025.
