The Kanzleimonitor 2026/2027 once again lists Stephan Schmidt, partner in the Mainz office of TCI Rechtsanwälte, among the Top 100 lawyers in Germany, the firm announced on 20 October 2026. He had been included in the list of Top 100 lawyers for the first time in the 2025/2026 edition.
According to the firm, Stephan Schmidt is named in three categories: Top 100 lawyers in Germany, leading lawyers in data protection law and leading lawyers in IT law.

TCI Rechtsanwälte is again listed as a leading firm in IT law and data protection law. In data protection law, the firm received more recommendations than around 60 percent of the other firms listed in this category, according to TCI.
As a specialist lawyer for information technology law, Stephan Schmidt advises companies in particular on IT law, data protection law, IT contract law and IT security and cybersecurity regulation, including complex IT projects, software and cloud contracts, IT outsourcing and requirements under the GDPR, NIS-2 and the Cyber Resilience Act.
