SMB provides counsel to Make Waves Films on upcoming feature documentary ‘Blue Carbon’

The Media and Music teams of SMB are pleased to announce that they have provided advisory services to Make Waves Films regarding the production, financing, and distribution of their feature documentary “Blue Carbon.” This documentary, which features CNN, HHMI (Howard Hughes Medical Institute), and Conservation International, will be broadcast on CNN, NDR, and Canal+.

The documentary focuses on the significant environmental and other benefits of blue carbon projects, which involve the expansion of mangrove and other forests along the ocean’s edge throughout the world. The documentary is presented by Jayda G, a Grammy-nominated producer and DJ who also holds a Master’s degree in marine biology. The music in the documentary is composed by Jayda G, RZA, and Seu Jorge, which plays a significant role in the story.

The SMB team, led by James Greenslade and Rachelle Senghor, is responsible for providing advisory services to Make Waves Films. SMB also co-sponsored the film’s recent premiere.
