Maisto e Associati, an independent Italian tax law boutique, has achieved recognition in the ninth edition of the Legalcommunity Italian Awards 2026, an annual recognition programme evaluating excellence across Italy’s legal market. The awards ceremony highlighted leading firms and individual professionals who distinguished themselves through their practice activities in 2025.

Founded in 1991 by Guglielmo Maisto, the firm has grown to over 60 professionals, including 15 partners and two of counsel, consolidating its position as a recognized tax advisory practice serving multinational financial institutions, fashion brands and consumer goods companies. The firm maintains Band 1 ranking in Chambers for tax law in Italy, a position it has held since 2007.
Guglielmo Maisto, founder and senior tax advisor, holds academic appointments as Professor of International and Comparative Tax Law at Università Cattolica di Piacenza and serves as Honorary President of the International Fiscal Association. His practice focuses on domestic and international tax law, financial transaction taxation, M&A structuring and transfer pricing, alongside tax litigation advisory.
The Legalcommunity Italian Awards programme, operated by LC Publishing Group, recognises excellence across two primary categories: law and tax firms, and individual professionals. The ninth edition expanded its scope to evaluate finalists across the entire Italian territory, with the gala ceremony formally announcing recognition winners. Maisto e Associati’s inclusion reflects the firm’s sustained prominence in Italian tax practice and its influence on complex cross-border transactions.
